Life Update! I had my last day at daycare this week. It’s been almost 7 years. I am going to miss dogs, but I’m very excited to focus on the shop.

I have never had time off between jobs. Every job before has been one ends, start the next place the next day. I have a week off between daycare and the lease starting at the store and it’s incredible.

Hearing that Oasis reuniting gives me hope that all sibling rivalries can bury the hatchet.

I got the keys to my storefront today!

I moved a bunch of furniture into the store (thank you @daimondrewthis for helping schlep all this stuff), and I’m slowly getting Bonnie acclimated to her shop dog role.

I stored most of the furniture for the shop in my apartment for the last few months. Now it’s all in the store, and I finally ran the Roomba, Clyde. He got stuck on things at least three times, and tried to eat the store sign and my flip flops. Clyde needs a vacation.

The shop opened today. I worked really hard on it, and a lot of people showed up for the first day. Cantarella Ink made this mural and it looks great!

My best friend is out of town, and she venmoed us $100 to take her dog out for lunch on his 10th adoptaversary.

Every time I see her, my brain sings her name to the tune of the doo-lang part of “He’s So Fine,” by The Chiffons. “Moo Deng, Moo Deng, Moo Deng!”

I went to New Mexico, rode in a hot air balloon, ate fry bread, and took a sky tram up a mountain. It was magnificent. Thanks, Albuquerque! 🎈
