#FridayHumour My mind is like my internet browser; 19 tabs are open; 3 of them are frozen; and I have no idea where the music is coming from.

It's important to celebrate successes. Getting a paper accepted is a big deal. Do something to reward yourself. Give yourself a treat. Go out for lunch. Take some time off. #PhDforum #EMCRforum #gradschool #research

The #ImposterSyndrome Despite all the evidence that you are going well, you can still feel like an imposter. And sometimes the better you do, the worse the imposter syndrome becomes. There is more to be exposed. More attention focussed on you. Work Chronicles

The imposter syndrome can start on day 1. We’ve heard great things about you. We’re expecting great things from you. You’re lucky to be here. We only accept the best. We’re lucky to have you. From the workshop: What research supervisors need to know about the imposter syndrome.

An imposter moment. Let's go around and introduce ourselves. Everyone else sounds so qualified and so confident. You're not sure you should even be here. But they think you're so qualified and look so confident too.

Most people in academia feel like an imposter at some point. But feeling like an imposter does not mean you are an imposter. Look at the facts. @phdcomics #impostersyndrome

#ImposterSyndrome: Tip 5. Create a fact file. Make a list of facts and positives that you can use to counter your imposter doubts. When you are having an imposter moment you often can't remember the positives. So have them written down ready to go. From: buff.ly/2m9RArr

The weekend is near. Time to rest and regenerate. Then come back next week with more energy to tackle next week's issues. It's OK to have time out. It will make you more efficient and definitely more sustainable.
