Our updated Snapshot of the Large-Scale Tropical Tuna Purse Seine Fishing Fleets report is out! One key finding is that 675 large-scale purse-seine vessels are fishing for tropical tuna with a combined fish hold volume of 864,000+ cubic meters.

Purse seine vessels catch ~66% of the world’s tuna — but global vessel numbers aren’t tracked in one place. ISSF’s latest Snapshot report estimates the current number and fishing capacity of authorized tuna purse seiners based on RFMO data. More: bit.ly/3HaPEMq
