Houston’s Sunnyside community is a low-income area that is disproportionately affected by the digital divide. But with funding from us and Truist, South Union CDC was able to build their own Internet infrastructure, enabling them to offer affordable, accessible connection.

Our president and CEO, Sally Wentworth, spoke at the “Global Access, Global Progress” panel at @IntGovForum. She discussed the Internet Society's "community-centered approach" to connectivity, which allows local communities to build and sustain their own networks, and more.
