A lot of early childhood trauma survivors are highly sensitive, & are frequently misunderstood as being “negative” because we see the dark realities of the world in technicolor. What often gets painfully overlooked is that we see the beauty in technicolor too.

Our society's obsession with looks & weight is painful for many of us because it reminds us of growing up in a family where being "well behaved" & keeping up appearances was valued more than our actual well-being.
