Yesterday was, make no mistake, an openly fascist rally. Our political parties and media outlets are not equipped for this moment, and many of the biggest among them are not even interested in being equipped. This is a problem.

One more poll btw and we should have enough data to do the first projection modelling of 2025 - it'll take a little while because things still need to be rebuilt after getting the proper data, but we are getting there

Normalising the participation of fascists in your institution is - and stop me if this sounds obvious - how your institution gets used as a vehicle for fascism. Insisting people engage their bad faith in good faith is a clear sign that this is happening!

Something I find confusing in all this is why ministers - who historically in this country take great affront at having to answer to anyone! - are apparently happy answering to Lowry

If you are old enough to work you are, in my view, old enough to vote. I don't understand why this is remotely controversial to some people.

Didn't think it could be done, but congratulations to Independent Ireland for finding a proposal that will actually make the housing crisis *worse*

I am confronting the horrible prospect that we are already halfway to being ruled by AI, not because of the tech doom scenario, but because we elect so many incurious and lazy politicians with no interest in doing their job

We have seen repeatedly over the last while that there's a cohort of people in this country, disproportionately represented on this website, who enjoy watching children suffer - especially if the child is sufficiently "different" from them
