I often see misconceptions about ensemble/mob programming. The most common is "it's 5 people sitting around watching one person work." In fact, it 5 people working while one takes notes in code, and that role rotates every few minutes.

Agile does not get you anywhere faster. What it does do is assure that you're building the right thing and also the best thing you could build in the time available.

If you’re still using story points, I"m sorry, but bear in mind that not finishing an 8 pointer is a big deal. Not finishing one of five 1 pointers is a nonevent. Just put it back on the backlog. Don’t estimate size; make everything smaller instead.
