At my first UN-Water mtg in years. Interesting insight, (to me!). Water people often feel water "needs to be mainstreamed". But that's exactly the problem. It is! More than 30 UN agencies all with a link to water. None of whom have it as #1 priority. 1/2

The solution isn't a "UN agency for water". But an empowered and funded UN-Water and a UN Water Envoy. That is how to deliver colle time action and integration ... and not just create another silo. 2/2
