Willingness to respectfully converse with people who disagree strongly is a cornerstone of civil societies. The Disagreement podcast The Disagreement gave Kim Callinan and myself a chance to discuss MAiD. It was compelling, clarifying dialogue. Compassion & Choices


No doubt that Kim Callinan & Compassion & Choices approach this issue in good faith. However, I agree with Ira Byock that w/o firm guardrails, factors like poorly treated symptoms or coercion--implicit & otherwise--may lead folks down a path they might otherwise wish to avoid. #MAiD
