Well it’s been a long time coming. The American Urologic Association has approved Prostate Artery Embolization #pae in the treatment of BPH. Men now have an option that doesn’t require going through the penis. Hopefully my 20 patients in insurance appeals will be approved quickly

Prostate embolization today, found a replaced inferior epigastric artery from the right obturator off the anterior division of the internal iliac. Has anyone seen this before? I haven’t.

Was able to experience Histotripsy live at Annual SIO meeting last week. Noninvasive nonthermal acoustic cavitation as visualized by microbubbles in the target zone. The system builds and tracks multiple cavitations creating a larger Histotripsy zone of ablation. Coming to Denver
