The earthquake that struck Japan’s Noto peninsula on Monday was so strong that the coastline has moved up to 250 meters offshore due to significant land uplift.

A #flumefriday all the way from Japan✈️ Over December I was lucky enough to visit the Port and Airport Research Institute and see their mega 110m flume in action!! From simulating full scale ocean waves to Tsunamis, this place was seriously impressive!!
