This is what the answer looks like, by the way... Standard GB platform position, low floor train, gap filler. Not perfect, but enables independent travel for almost everyone currently excluded from rail travel by inaccessible design.

Behind the pearl-clutching about supply or unintended consequences of whatever other bad faith argument landlords trot out against rent controls, this is the real reason they oppose them: not because they don't work, but because they do.

For me, more than anything else, this tragedy sums up the last 14 years. An avoidable tragedy. Created by the need to mollify the rich few. The poor were the victims. And no justice forthcoming.

Israel claims they killed the brave journalist Ismael Al-ghoul for being a “Hamas militant.” Not only was Ismael detained by the criminal military of Israel and released back in March, which proves he doesn't even have a remote connection to Hamas. He also spent all his time in

Liverpool's Spellow Lane library torched last night. What could be more 'patriotic' than destroying a centre which serves the local community?

I've worked on and off on this for a couple of weeks, finally I've been able to finish it! I think I've never been more proud of a piece. Depicted is a multi phase cathedral with a romanesque nave and a high to late gothic choir. I've drawn it with #Procreate on iPad.

Update: it's now official, in a just-released communiqué Macron has rejected a government led by the New Popular Front (NPF). It's an unprecedented situation in the history of the 5th French Republic: the loser in the election effectively rejects yielding power to the winner.

After WW2, UK debt was 250% of GDP. How did Labour reduce it? By SPENDING on homes, NHS, public services... Economy grew, causing debt to shrink as a fraction of GDP. Economics is counterintuitive.

In May this year, Lord Peter Hendy pressured my now-former employer SYSTRA UK & Ireland to sack me by threatening them. Why did he do this? Because I'd highlighted safety and accessibility issues at Euston station. He is unfit for office and should resign. politico.eu/article/uk-rai…
