When we were performing due diligence on companies, prior to me buying the roofing firm, we ran into one company where the owner very clearly told us they were running about 2 million of company revenue through gambling in order to get it off the books. The company was making

I mean I support the premise, but I can tell you that just because you take a guy, give him a house, give him a job and give him a car will it make his life truly better. I did that very thing with my brother years ago and it ended up in a volleyball team almost being killed.

Roughly half of American households would be able to buy this castle in Italy based on the standard 35% rule (IRS median household income reports, 2024). I don't think people understand how wealthy Americans are, including the average one.

What's insane to me is the total number of people I've done consulting calls with that don't want to start small. I'd say 50% refuse to take down a SFD or Duplex as a first deal to make sure they're setting up the right systems and processes. I would say 90% if not more of the

(My family of 7) Our mortgage is around $1k Food $1200 Vehicles $1k (incl insurance) Healthcare $500 Childcare $0 Student loans $0 So, at double the average family size, having just turned 40, we are half the cost. Never the less there's other costs to life, but it sure is

In November my carwashes had a $25,000 loss in profitability versus our expectations (This is after me being in the industry for 4 years). We had to dip into our long-term business reserves to make bills, not a time at all. It really bothers me that people love to watch my

I continue to be amazed by these takes. Totally divorced from reality. Over *65%* of U.S. households already own their homes. It’s not a pipe dream. And nothing is stopping people from getting married & having kids except their own choices. The victim mentality is exhausting.

Met a wonderful, fellow Christian business owner today. Had not seen him in a whole year and wanted to see how 2025 treated him. It wasn't good, I guess I'm not the only one that's being stretched, stressed, and worn out due to the business environment. Him and I both see

I hate how detached stupid takes like this or on here. 14 million isn't a pile of cash, it's a couple tractors a combine, maybe two and a few hundred acres of land on a family-owned farm.

My car battery died yesterday. The dealership wanted $250 for a new battery + replacement. AutoZone wanted $300 for a new battery + replacement. Instead of paying them — I watched a YouTube video and learned how to replace the battery myself. I went to the dealership and

It's always odd to me, growing up I was always told that the current generation didn't want to learn anything and that knowledge would not make it to millennials or later generations. But due to YouTube I think there's more documentation on how to take care of things yourself

An American buys a $138,000 home. She sends the bank $9,286. After interest, taxes, and insurance take their cut, ONLY $952 actually touches the loan. $8,300 is PURE interest. This isn’t paying down a mortgage — it’s watching your money disappear before you can breathe.

This is proof positive that people can look at data and be totally off base. The more the government gets involved, provide subsidies, and starts writing people paychecks, the more costs to up. A tale as old as time

These posts blow my mind, that people can't comprehend that billions a year are spent on cancer research, and an extra $30m won't change much on the trajectory.

This would make electric vehicles immensely popular. Buy electric for $0.15 during non-Peak and resell for a dollar during peak. You'd solve the grid problems pretty quick.
