Yesterday we finished our Carex International Meeting in Seville at Pablo de Olavide. >30 researchers from all the continents joined in a 2-days sedge botanical celebration in the beautiful setting of our town. It's been great having all you here! See you all at #ibc2024!

#MacondoLab Pablo de Olavide research, together with the sedge team at biodiversos.urjc, made Carex very present at #ibc2024. With talks on five symposia and several posters we have shown the many things that sedges can tell us. Congrats to us all for all the achievements!

We never get tired for Carex hunting! This year the high season has an unprecedent team of sedge stars from around the World that came to Spain for #ibc2024. Heading to the Pyrenees and arriving in a few hours! The fun starts right now!

The Pyrenees welcomed us with these nice Eriophorum latifolium-dominated wet meadows. I never thought this many botanists could have so much fun just because there were 7 species of Carex in one spot. The magic of sedges!
