A solo RPG in a book sounds fun.

You can play “In the Ashes” walking or lying in bed, as its corners include dice: just open one at random and see the result obtained.

Certain bosses have a random behavior (vertical dice on their cards). Some of their cards are more likely to come out than others, so you will have to adapt your strategy. The enemy behavior, when random, is revealed after choosing your 3 cards.

This bookshop in Stockholm that has put “In the Ashes” in its window seems to me a fantasy where I want to live.

You can study enemy behavior at any time, as each boss is designed to pose a different challenge. For example, this creature steals your items, and is also capable of disarming you if you move too far away. Stay close.

Some advanced skills in the new game will allow you to heal yourself: to do so, simply trace the hearts' contours, which will become part of your life (this illustration is only an internal test/draft that will be redone by the professionals).
