What is the actual level of #reproducibility in science? We often hear that #science is in a #crisis, and that half or fewer publications replicate. This do not match the findings I know, and this thread will overview them. Pls integrate or prove me wrong Daniël Lakens @jbakcoleman

I recently read this exciting new paper by Gaia Molinaro 🦋 gaiamolinaro.bsky.social and Anne Collins on context-dependent valuation in reinforcement learning. Some thoughts on how the results fit with other work in this area and the questions raised for future research: (1/6) journals.plos.org/plosbiology/ar…

Excited to share a new paper led by Lior Gazit , looking at the way the need to share responsibility affects advice seeking from algorithmic advisors.

Fantastic work on confidence modelling, presented beautifully by Robbe Goris: doi.org/10.1038/s41562… I'm partial to this 'NYU' style of dataviz, which seems somewhat of a subcult in systems neuro. Did anyone ever write up a style guide for this? Michael Waskom @jcbyts

We are immensely happy to start over the neuro-economics seminar series with no less than the amazing Pierre-Yves Oudeyer. He will present translational (human-AI) research about learning, curiosity and language. Join us at the Cognition ENS More info here: lnc2.dec.ens.fr/en/agenda/open…

Another great achievement by our own Maëlle Gueguen , together with, Hernan Anllo , Stefano Palminteri (@stepalminteri.bsky.social) and Anna Konova !! Congrats !!

Does the notion of intrinsic reward explain context-dependent valuation in reinforcement learning? To find out, check out our - with Stefano Palminteri (@stepalminteri.bsky.social) - latest comment on Gaia Molinaro 🦋 gaiamolinaro.bsky.social and Anne Collins 's recent publication in PLOS Biology 👇 osf.io/preprints/psya…

Lefebvre, @OpheliaDeroy and & @CrowdCognition show that opinion polarization may arise from biased value update making to that observed in simple reinforcement learning in humans, a very nice example of finding micro origins to macro phenomena. Bravo! royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/epdf/10.10…

My papers summarizing the strong similarities between the crises in psychology in the 1970's and the 2010's, including reflections on why we are not solving most of them, are out in open access print. You'll enjoy this I promise. rips-irsp.com/articles/10.53… rips-irsp.com/articles/10.53…
