Overhead the sun shifts between sliding clouds, while boots thump on soft, Alpine earth. Violet flowers, bright white flowers and hard-to-categorise soft-brush flowers dot the grass. This is summer in Lech.

Any habits you've brought back from a trip overseas? I've started to use tomato and garlic on bread for breakfast instead of butter thanks to Spain...

Just a short flight from Miami, the clear waters and soft sands of the Bahamas attract plenty of beach loving visitors. But the islands themselves contain hidden history, warm hospitality, striking art and more besides. Would you explore the Bahamas beyond its beaches?

This summer saw me doing something which would have surprised my younger self: getting behind the wheel and taking a solo road trip through Nova Scotia. And it turned out to be one of the best things I've ever done. insidethetravellab.com/nova-scotia-ro… Ad

Hiroshima knows the dark side of fame. But today, more than 75 years later, the city of Hiroshima is once again a place full of life. A place which enjoys the cherry blossom, which serves the tasty okonomiyaki, and which promotes, of all things, world peace. Have you been?

Trees flutter leaves across the Mews, the Royal parks and the banks of the Thames, dripping with rubies and golden wreaths. Fires roar, roast dinners are plated and hot chestnuts sizzle on street corners. This is autumn in London. insidethetravellab.com/autumn-in-lond…

Lovely news - I’ve been nominated for AITO Travel Blogger of the Year for my piece “How a Stone Serpent in the Basque Country is Tackling Overtourism.” It’s about beauty, balance, and how to love a place without loving it to death. insidethetravellab.com/basque-overtou…

We glided through mirrored waterways, slipped between trunks and sat in silence as glow‑worms blinked overhead. The Amazon isn’t about ticking off ‘things to do’ - it’s about slowing, listening, waiting. What’s the most unforgettable moment nature has given you on your travels?

The Amalfi Coast isn't just beautiful, it's special. Time softens here, like sea glass, inviting you to stay longer, breathe slower, and look twice. insidethetravellab.com/first-time-ama…

Travel in Iceland is rewarding, but it’s rarely straightforward. A single day might start in sunshine, shift to horizontal rain, and end beneath the northern lights or the glow of the midnight sun. Here's everything you need to pack to come prepared. insidethetravellab.com/iceland-packin…

From hearty plates of beshbarmak to a glass of fermented mare’s milk, Kazakh food is full of surprises. It’s more than just fuel - it’s a window into culture and connection. Would you try it?

Which city completely surprised you? For me, it was Halifax in Nova Scotia. I expected something of an icy, bleak outpost. I discovered a burst of colour and a fun, waterside vibe.
