Journalism basic religious literacy fails: 1) This is about the Free Church (Continuing) (Free Church of Scotland (Continuing)), not the Free Church (Free Church). Not the same church.🤦 2) "The Kirk" = the Church of Scotland (Church of Scotland). Come on @timesscotland, you can do better than this.

Our prayers are with Her Majesty and her family at this time. "By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; by me princes govern, and nobles—all who rule on earth. I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me." (Prov 8:15-17) #fcos

This was very good from Jake Meador: the evangelical church is haunted by both the Mars Hill of Mark Driscoll and the Mars Hill of Rob Bell. blogs.mereorthodoxy.com/jake/mark-dris…

"In both cases, we have parishioners shaped by online networks in such a way that they have become suspicious of the pastoral leadership and spiritual authority in their local settings."

“It's okay for somebody who's a Marxist to bring what they've learned from Das Kapital into the room, but not to take what you believe from the Bible. That's nonsense, isn't it?” @TimFarron tells #TimesRadio that being religious can be a bar to serving in high public office.

After 6 years my time as the Assistant Minister at Smithton Church has come to an end, and I am now formally the church planter for Tornagrain Community Church (which we’ve planted from Smithton). Loved my 6 years in Smithton, but loving life in Tornagrain!

I was moved to tears today during Prof Rev Dr Bob Akroyd’s address as Moderator during the Free Church General Assembly, so inspired I was by his laying before us some of the history & footprints of God’s dynamic power in his offer of the gospel to the world. What a Saviour!

Best hair at the Free Church General Assembly: 1. Tom Muir easily number one - a magnificent mane of hair. 2. Keith Knowlton (MtW) 3. Iain Macsween - 75 and still rocking nearly a full head of jet black hair.

Most days I come into the Costa Coffee at Inverness retail park to write for hours on end, and the staff are consistently amazing and friendly. Today, with all the chaos of the snow, they made me a snowman! Big shout out to the team here for always going above and beyond!
