The summer wave is starting in the Bay Area. Several people I know have gotten sick and SARSCoV2 wastewater is back to high levels, higher than the winter 2020-2021 wave and almost halfway up to 2021-2022 Omicron.

The danger I saw in zeynep tufekci is twofold;

First, she spreads scientific misinformation while attacking and discrediting domain experts who publish on the topic

Second, she has a large platform that she wields irresponsibly (even bully others, such as a science journalist)

Dose, dose dose, dose... Both the likelihood of infection and the severity of infection are corelated to the level of exposure. Anything that reduces the initial exposure will, to some degree, help.

All levels of masking helps. Some much, much more than others.
