Two hours into the Rent Guidelines Board hearing in Brooklyn and there are still around 130 people on line outside and a full house in the auditorium at St Francis College
NYC is the most expensive it’s ever been, and an estimated 92,000 New Yorkers are without a home.
If the #RentGuidelinesBoard follows through with the proposed increases, they vote to add even more families, children, disabled New Yorkers, and lifelong neighbors to that number.
BREAKING: the White Cliffs of Dover have been illuminated with the UK 'warming stripes' for #ShowYourStripes day!
These stripes represent the UK average temperature from 1884 to 2022 with blue colours for colder years and red colours for hotter years.

The #RentGuidelinesBoard approved a 3% increase for one-year leases. For two-year leases, rents will increase by 2.75% for the 1st year / 3.2% for the second year.
Any increase approved by the Board is a failure, and an unsustainable burden on tenants across New York City. [1/7]
Another air quality alert has been issued for today, June 29th.
To prepare, the City has delivered thousands of additional masks to immigrant serving partners below 👇🏼
Please mask up 😷 & stay safe!
NY's free N95/KN95 program didn't happen by accident. Grassroots groups like Masks Work & BCID helped by advocating for masks at MTA meetings for months. NYSDOH should make this a permanent program. Even when the smoke clears, people need masks for COVID.
