It has been a while since #eshg2024 in Berlin. Still, we would like to acknowledge European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) for supporting us to represent the young human #genetics generation! Thank you all who met us & joined our activities! We are looking forward to #eshg2025 in Milan 🧬

I'm delighted to join this exciting meeting to share what we learnt about human behaviour (assortment/parental rearing/participation) through genetics (and Mendelian Randomisation).

An international research team has developed a proteomics-based age clock for UK Biobank participants and validated its accuracy in the China Kadoorie Biobank and FinnGen. Proteomic aging is associated with mortality, risk of many chronic diseases and numerous age-related traits.

New preprint - genetic analyses of latent factors from high-dimensional traits give enhanced power for #GWAS discovery and #finemapping Highest gains are through multi-trait fine-mapping of latent factors - we introduce flashfmZero Feng Zhou, William Astle, Adam Butterworth

In our latest work, we explore the contribution of rare, typically inherited, damaging genetic variants to the risk of severe developmental disorders (DDs) and establish a major role for incompletely penetrant rare variation. Now out on medRxiv: medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

🚨Review alert! Admixed populations make up a large portion of global genetic diversity but are often excluded from genomics. Our paper surveys tools & methods to better include these groups in studies, reducing disparities in genomic medicine. 🧬👏 @doubletaotan Elizabeth Atkinson👇
