Happy to share that our paper, "A Deep Generative Recommendation Method for Unbiased Learning from Implicit Feedback" with Harrie Oosterhuis Maarten de Rijke got accepted at the ICTIR 2023. We propose a modification to the VAE for RecSys model to account for the popularity bias in the dataset.

I am very happy to be a recipient of this year's NWO Veni-grants! 😄 🎉 One of ten in our university and 188 in the country. This grant will allow me to devote three years of research on developing a Bayesian paradigm for learning from user interactions with search engines.
