Zach Ehrhard is a fun, scrappy player. He was included on top of James Tibbs in the Dustin May trade. Since joining the Dodgers org in 27 AA games he's slashing .291/.402/.466 with more walks than strikeouts, 11 XBH and is 11 for 11 in SB.

I can't for the life of me understand how a *slightly* up and in fastball is what's called for on a two-strike pitch to a rookie (who likely chases a slider away to send the game to extra innings) Especially when Tanner Scott has been leaking middle middle all year.

Feeling like an old-head because I can't imagine why a catcher wouldn't hide their hand behind their back or at least better than that. Modern catching really does seem to abandon some traditional aspects of playing the position. Smith and now Basallo get their hands damaged.

Back to back nights the dodgers call an up and in fastball to a lefty who crushes it in the 9th. You can't make this stuff up. In big clutch moments a lefty is gonna sit fastball inside so they can drive it.

I have continually clung onto optimism that this team would figure it out because they were too talented not to, but that is going nowhere. I’m no longer waiting for the “inevitable” turnaround. I’m not sure it exists with this team. This has gone on too long

Justin Wrobleski is auditioning himself as a legitimate October bullpen candidate today with back-to-back dominant innings to crush the Orioles' hopes of yet another comeback win. He's doing what they paid Tanner Scott to do but for about $15.5 million dollars cheaper!

There are two minor leaguers 20 years old or younger with the following: 15+ doubles 10+ homers 80+ walks 30+ steals They're BOTH in the Los Angeles Dodgers system. Josue De Paula and Eduardo Quintero are among the hottest prospects in baseball. baseballamerica.com/stories/rankin…

This is a guy I can tell you is catching scouts eyes down at the lower level of the Dodgers' minor league system. Signed out of the DR in 2023, he has some really filthy pitches despite lacking the top prospect pedigree. His stuff could take him far but he has to develop still.
