This gorgeous view of a star forming region spans ~15 light years - meaning that light (which travels at ~670,000,000 mph) takes 15 years to cross the vista. Every dot is a star like our Sun. Space is big y'all. Be kind to each other ✨

Greenwood shot this image at Vancouver Island, Canada. The image is a composite that he accomplished by photographing long exposures of the Milky Way and the waterfall separately. Later, he processed each of the images and stacked them to get this ethereal image.

Good Morning 🖤, Space Station … A Dragon Soars Soon!

Just stare in amazement at this gorgeous sunrise view of “Our Beautiful Earth” taken earlier today, Jan. 3, 2015, aboard the International Space Station (ISS) by crewmate and NASA astronaut Barry “Butch” Wilmore.
