This week, Ade, of The Manchester 10, and our Director Roxy spoke on a panel at the Stephen Lawrence research centre. Alongside excellent panelists, they spoke about collective punishment in the city, ‘gangs’ policing, and the prosecution of The Manchester 10.

I’ve not been in the centre for the longest in my life, about 5-6 weeks which means that I’ve not been in Harpurhey / north side in like 12 years which will probably be the longest in my life. I can feel the withdrawal of the estate in my body and soul.

Ive felt powerless so many times in my life but the level of powerlessness that comes when you hear someone you love have been done with a blade inside them prison walls - that’s a different type of powerlessness

It’s funny because conspiracy charges land down on people from communities but the realest evidence of conspiracy that I have ever seen - clear as fucking day - is the actions of the police state
