This should be the Yankees priorities: 1. Sign Max Fried, Burnes, or Sasaki 2. Trade for Bellinger 3. Trade for Devin Williams I’m not in love with an Arenado trade, but if we can offload Stroman in the process and not take on all of the money, then I’m open to it.

The issue with Teoscar, Alonso, Arenado, Walker, etc. is they are all RHH. The Yankees need to stay balanced. Bellinger or Santander is a must this offseason.

Cashman might be truly kicking the tires on a lot of trade options. It’s probably more likely that teams are using the NYY as leverage with trades with other teams, or Cashman could be leaking info for leverage with other trades. Either way, Cashman needs to start making moves.

The Yankees have renewed talks with free-agent first baseman Christian Walker per Joel Sherman.

Taylor Ward would be a nice pickup for the Yankees, but he still isn’t a LHH. They would need to get either Bellinger or Santana for 1B to keep the lineup somewhat balanced.

This makes sense why Fried & Burnes haven’t signed yet. Cashman is likely trying to see who he can trade for before throwing the bag at free agents. Hopefully he decides soon before free agent options sign elsewhere.

I wouldn’t count on acquiring Tucker or Framber. Would it be great? Sure. The Astros are still one of our rivals in the AL. We would likely have to overpay for anyone we get from them.

I wouldn’t mind getting Arenado. That allows Jazz to play 2B or OF. Durbin can continue to develop and get called up if injuries happen. If we get Arenado, then we need to trade or sign a LHH (Ideally Bellinger). We can’t go back to having an unbalanced lineup.

I wonder what the asking price is. It has to start with Jones or Dominguez. I’d only do it if I can assure that Tucker will sign an extension. Let’s not trade away our future for someone that will walk during Free Agency like Soto again

A very underrated player the Yankees should look into is Nate Lowe. LHH First baseman. If we sign Fried, Burnes, or Sasaki, then we would have starting pitcher depth to trade from.

After the Rangers traded for Jake Burger last night. I wonder if this means they will move either Nate Lowe or Josh Jung. I think Nate Lowe could be a sneaky good trade pickup for the Yankees. Lefty first baseman with some pop.

I think the Yankees would prefer to not sign Bregman/Alonso. They don’t want to have to deal with another Boras client if they don’t have to. All of those reports are fake leaks. We likely see a Bellinger trade among others. Then fill in the gaps with non-Boras free agents.

The Santander rumors are strictly the Yankees trying to make the Cubs blink. He isn’t as good defensively but is better offensively. He can play 1B and OF and is a switch hitter. Not a bad back-up plan if he can play 1B. I still think you trade for Bellinger and sign Walker.
