Very true. Over-hyped launches are prone to steep drops in floor price. Steep drops in floor price mean that sentiment quickly shifts to the negative. Negative sentiment in a new project is very difficult to overcome as it makes it hard for community to galvanise.

The sheer number of CrypToadz 🐸⛓ derivatives has me feeling incredibly bullish on Toadz. I think these derivatives accrue more value to the Toadz in the same vein as fake luxury handbags make the real things more valuable. !croak

Curious to gauge sentiment of #NFT twitter on Invisible Friends. Not talking about floor price or hyped launches. But how do you feel about the project & team itself? One could argue that creating that level of hype shows great business acumen & bodes well for the project longterm?

99% of NFTs are vaporware with no utility, just like 2017 ICOs. Wait for the short term players to leave and while the long term players innovate and build. The next NFT bull market will be insane.

Lack of liquidity in #NFTs will suck, but I'm excited to finally see the wheat separate from the chaff. Can't understand why projects have been minting for more than the floor price of solid existing projects (eg: Deadfellaz). Market has been irrational & this will soon change.

Isn’t Opensea restricting trading on assets reported for ‘suspicious activity' the exact kind of centralised overreach/incompetence web3 was trying to combat? The irony is that by doing this, they aren’t discouraging bad actors, but are encouraging them…

Excited to see what Overlord does over the coming months. Building across multiple verticals like this is very cool but surely very challenging. Wonder how this plays out in the future. Is it better to build one vertical at a time or multiple simultaneously? Benefits to both

Thoughts on the OpenSea thread: 1) It is very good that they said something. Thank you. 2) Making it harder to freeze assets and easier to unfreeze assets is a step in the right direction There are still many problems though (🧵👇)

Most of my NFTs down bad from ATH and liquidity has dried up considerably. But can’t help but feel overwhelmingly positive about the space. There are plenty of solid projects withstanding the market induced stress test and whose floor prices have somewhat stabilized. Exciting!

In these market conditions, being well capitalized is critical to success. Sufficient runway is necessary to continue building and executing. By buying NFTs royalty free, you are reducing the likelihood of that project succeeding. Completely counterintuitive.

Royalties are the mechanism by which projects are rewarded for driving demand and liquidity. Demand and liquidity are fundamental to the success of market participants (flippers and holders). Without royalties, it’s hard to see how any party (team, flippers or holders) succeeds.

Now that FTX is insolvent and placing huge downward pressure on anything in the Solana ecosystem, it seems like a pertinent time to retweet this. Will be interesting to see how this affects NFTs in the Solana ecosystem...

All scams are bad, but those where the perpetrator feigns as some altruistic Robin Hood type figure are particularly egregious. Humans really hate that kind of hypocrisy

Really glad BETTY & others pushed back against OS on creator fees. No creator fees, no incentive for creators. No incentive, projects cannot be funded and quality is significantly reduced. Ultimately NFT market dies and OS dies with it. Royalty free is dumb.
