We had an awesome time working with Chef Imrun V. Texeira today! Ss learned about the culinary arts as a career pathway, chopped up some delicious mangos and marveled as they watched the cream mixture turn to KULFI using liquid nitrogen. So delightful! @Hawthorne_PS


We worked with Chef Imrun V. Texeira to chop up and juice some yummy fruits and veggies. We made math connections by comparing sugar amounts in store bought beverages (check out how much sugar is in chocolate milk 🤯). Ask us which we preferred, red or green juice! @Hawthorne_PS


Sweet, Sour, Bitter, Salty and Umami Ss in 4-1 learned about how taste receptors work and explored how taste is a thoughtful, delicious experience. Chef Imrun V. Texeira had us trying and pairing all sorts of interesting flavours today!
