Curious about what we do? We have produced this short film to explain our work, how we're developing new advanced materials, and our impact across the UK! Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Imperial College London The University of Manchester University of Leeds
Researchers find new MASER material that could revolutionise imaging and sensing Imperial Materials
Oooooo what is that I hear you ask? Well come along to the NAME Programme Grant stand at Great Exhibition Road Festival this weekend to find out more about our new materials and how we use them- for example to make coherent electromagnetic waves and why we would want to!
As the #ExRdFest kicks off again, Imperial Materials researchers are looking forward to another day of smashing ions! 💎🔬💥 Maser Group Imperial Great Exhibition Road Festival
🌌 It was great to be at the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2023 with #E6’s Dr Matthew Markham & the team from Imperial College London.
Late sharing! Congratulations to the maser teams including Prof Neil Alford and Prof Mark Oxborrow of Imperial Materials for their amazing award!
Our researchers from Imperial Materials and NAME Programme Grant have demonstrated how masers can be used for space communication at #ImperialLates . 🛰️🚀 We had a great time talking to the public at this amazing festive event Imperial College London .
📣 New paper out 📣 MASERs, the microwave analogue to LASERs, are no longer confined to the lab, but now portable "shoe-box" size as the group Maser Group Imperial, as part of the NAME group, have shown in their new publication pubs.aip.org/aip/apl/articl…
Our Maser group from Imperial Materials has demonstrated the Pentacene Maser at the Quantum Day celebration event , in collaboration with London Centre for Nanotechnology at Imperial College London , representing the Spin-Lab bench. Our researchers talked to the public and we had an amazing time.
We had a great time talking about how atomic-scale control over materials can be used to create new technologies including room-temperature masers and antimicrobial surfaces at #ExRdFest. Looking forward to more conversations tomorrow! NAME Programme Grant Imperial Materials
Today we’re in sunny Leeds for our quarterly meeting. First we shared updates from the past three months - lots of exciting work happening! And now we have Dr Daan Arroo from Maser Group Imperial giving us a deep on masers. It’s always great to get together!
