The results of the York Catholic District School Board vote on raising the #PrideFlag are shameful. Those who voted against have sent a clear message to 2SLGBTQ+ students and staff. Hollow arguments have won out and a community which has been repeatedly attacked is further marginalized.

To all 2SLGBTQ+ staff and students York Catholic District School Board, know that we see you, we love you and we support you. The same can be said on behalf of countless teachers, allies, and advocates, many of whom we heard in this same meeting (especially Jonah James anthea peta-dragos (she/her) )
