We were honoured to join the Crown Prosecutors, National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) and Home Office at their national Multi-Agency Honour-Based Abuse Conference in Birmingham last week. Education is key to prevention, and it was powerful to hear Jess Phillips as a keynote speaker at the event.

At 16, Valerie was taken on "holiday" by her grandmother - someone she trusted. Instead, she was held down, cut and left in a pool of her own blood. She had experienced female genital mutilation. We’re committed to protecting all women and girls from this horrific practice.
