Trump told black people things were so bad for us that we had nothing to lose. He described this country as a hellscape, often.

It definitely sounds crazy, no doubt. I agree. But Jan. 6 really did happen, though. Why assume there won’t be another attempt? Trump and his most passionate supporters don’t give a darn about norms and rules. They’ve proven that time and again.

So Justice Alito's version of events DOES NOT HOLD UP. ⤵️

Is saying Oct. 7 was really bad and we should grieve with the innocent people slaughtered? Or that it was bad for a cop to murder George Floyd?

Most prisoners will get out one day, return to our communities. It makes little sense to not rehabilitate them while inside those walls.

A theory that the remote location of prison complexes + violent crime being mostly confined within lower income communities = half the country has no concept of who criminals actually are and simply imagines that every incarcerated person is Jean Valjean

FYI: If this is true - I’d like to see the evidence for it - that’s illegal and they should be sued. White men are still being hired at an amazing clip, in addition to having a heck of a lot of the jobs already. Stop trying to turn diversity efforts into something they aren’t.

Eight years ago, Hillary called *some* Trump supporters (the super-racist ones) “deplorable” and folks still talk about it

Eight hours ago, Trump called all Biden voters “human scum” and we’ve already forgotten about it

Here's the part lots of people don't know or gloss over: WHITE men today are having a relatively harder time getting hired IF your comparison is all the WHITE men who came before them and had an enormous amount of unfair advantages. Instead, people make this about POC and women.

I want folks to digest this exchange with Jonathan. I didn't call him a racist. I simply critiqued his argument. But he insists that I called him one anyway. This isn't the first time this happened, not with Jonathan, but with others who seem desperate to be the real victim. Why?
