Int'l Mountain Day highlights the importance of mountains and their role in providing crucial resources, supporting biodiversity, and sustaining the livelihoods of millions of people. Responsible and inclusive development can contribute to the well-being of these communities.

Our food systems are responsible for 30% of GHG emissions, 80% of deforestation, and more than 70% of freshwater use. Our food systems should not be part of the problem but instead a part of the solution. We must transform food systems to be sustainable for generations to come.

As #COP28 concludes, IIRR emphasizes the promising strides made in financial aid, renewable energy, and regenerative agriculture. However, we recognize that the path toward forging a more sustainable and equitable world is far from complete. May we remain focused on these goals!
