As of 3:09pm the IHSA State 3A Girls Track prelims will now be on a rolling schedule due to potential approaching weather.

As of 4:15pm, the class 3A Girls Track and Field State Preliminary is suspended due to lightning. Stay tuned.

As of 4:27pm the 3A Girls State Track and Field Finals is suspended due to lightning. With each strike within 10 miles, the 30 minute meet suspension clock resets. Stay tuned.

As of 4:42pm the 3A State Girls Track and Field Preliminaries are still suspended. Lightning is still within 10 miles of EIU. Stay tuned for meet announcements.

Pending no more lightning strikes within the 10 mile radius of the 3A Girls State Track and Field Prelims, we will open the track and venue back up at 4:55pm. There will be a 20 minute warm up period for athletes and we will resume the prelims beginning with the 200m at 5:15.

As of 4:55pm, O’Brien Field is open for a 20 minute warm up period at the 3A Girls State Track and Field Finals.

May 24- As of 12:50, the 2A IHSA State Track and Field Prelims will be on a rolling schedule for the remainder of the meet due to isolated storms in the area. 3A Prelim Track Events are still set to begin at 2:20pm. 3A weigh-ins for discus will begin at 1:30.

May 24 - 2:00pm - There is a weather delay for the IHSA State Track and Field Prelims. Lightning has been detected within 10 miles. 3A field events are postponed and track events will have a delayed start. Stay tuned.

May 24 - 2:14pm - lightning is still within 10 miles of the IHSA Boys State Track and Field Prelims. The meet is still on delay, and will not be resumed before 2:45pm. Stay tuned.
