On 8 August 2025, the Islamic Kalima and other inscriptions were removed from the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Chak No. 201 Murad, District Bahawalnagar. Throughout Pakistan Ahmadi mosques continue to be targets of attack and desecration.

For Ahmadis in Pakistan, yesterday’s Independence Day celebrations were marred by multiple mob attacks on two Ahmadi mosques and Ahmadi homes in Dist Faisalabad. Local Ahmadis were also physically assaulted. As is usual in all such attacks, the police offered no protection.
