Getting ready to go to the @SSA Annual Meeting in beautiful Puerto Rico! I'll be giving a talk on the statistics of earthquake activity across Texas. Here's a figure of the earthquakes we looked at, colored by basin

I love my job. I spent two days doing the most tedious, mind-numbing processing of earthquake catalogs and yet all I could think about was how happy I am that I do this for a living. Even the mundane can be enjoyable πŸ˜‰

One of the best things about being a professor is that you get to help your students figure out what career paths they want to pursue. My students applied for several internships and I'm so excited to see how they do!
