Taking our team (12 students & 2 advisors) cost us $60,000 USD PER YEAR to attend iGEM Headquarters. The registration fees are outrageous & create inequality especially now that corporations are allowed to compete vs students. We switched to biobuilder.org for 1/100th of the cost.
