IGCP 725 has been very quiet on here for a while. And TBH, we're a little torn about poking our heads back in at all. But with our annual meeting starting this weekend in the Philippines, we did want to say 👋. And boast about a new IGCP725 paper contribution.

We are pleased to share this new paper by Oliveira Souza & colleagues from across southeastern Brazil (and one from Venice) in ESPL. Here they document river responses to modest climate change associated with the MWP & LIA. Check it out! doi.org/10.1002/esp.59…

Had the privilege of sharing my #PhDresearch today. Thanks to the GLOBES mini-grant (ReillyCenter UND) and to the PAGES and UNESCO early career award funding awarded by the Forecasting Coastal Change: From Cores to Code organizers I was able to attend this #IGCP725 Annual Meeting in Manila, Philippines!

Microatolls, mangroves, and a few coastal boulders #igcp725 At our field site we learned from Dr. Aron Meltzner about using LiDAR for 3D scans of the microatolls and conventional slabbing methods. Why microatolls? Because they can be used to reconstruct relative sea level!
