Nearly 60 percent of Black women killed by police were unarmed at the time of their death, the most of any race and gender group. #SayHerName

Black women are at the highest risk of any group to experience sexual violence perpetrated by police officers. #SayHerName

The path to police killing begins with more police encounters, and Black women are 17% more likely to be in a police-initiated traffic stop than white women. #SayHerName

Black women have one of the highest incarceration rates amongst women in the country. Their imprisonment rate is nearly 2x that of white women. #StatusOfBlackWomen2021
