Fit testing of RPE should be done as part of the initial RPE selection process and where an untested facepiece is already in use. Use a Fit2Fit-accredited provider. Remember that a fit test does not remove the need for the correct day-to-day fitting, including fit checking.

Employers: Have you assessed the risks from working with hazardous substances? Include arrangements to deal with accidents, incidents or emergencies, eg resulting from serious spillages The assessment must also include H&S risks from storing, handling or disposal of substances
