This is a nice start, though it still relies on full websites. As you know, the future is in embedding interactive UI chunks *directly in the chat*. Dia should support mcp-ui! Based on the official MCP spec - it is quickly becoming the standard for this. (+Ido Salomon)

I'm building my own MCP client, and of course I'm doing it the hard way by using in-browser LLMs (npm.im/@mlc-ai/web-llm) and seeing how far I can get with those. Pretty remarkable it works at all honestly. I do not know how doing this well would be possible without XState.

We want to see more of this! If more clients implement it, more chances servers and MCP developers add it to their use cases.

Excellent write-up on agentic UI by Ruben Casas 🦊. It mentions MCP-UI as a 3rd party UI solution, but we've also seen it suggested as a renderer for 1st party UI. It'd be interesting to see how this plays out when MCP-UI starts supporting generative UI as a content type!
