The Repair and Reuse Economy in Kenya has lots of potential. Covering this project in Kisumu, Mombasa & Nairobi was quite exciting.

1/3 Yesterday 13th May 2022, Unilever Kenya had the pleasure of hosting, for the first time, Unilever Africa President Jaime Aguilera. Jaime took time to experience first hand our strategic plastic recycling partnership with Mr Green Africa in action.

2/3 The partnership has proven that it is possible to convert plastic waste into value, create a circular economy and transform livelihoods. We are on course on our commitment, 100% of our plastic packaging will be designed to be fully reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2025

3/3 Our Sunlight, Vim, and Domestos packaging is now 100% locally recycled. Happy to be the 1st company in Kenya to close the plastic circular economy loop. Slowly we are turning consumer perception on plastic from 'waste to value' while transforming waste pickers livelihoods.
