Here's an RX test of the #RS44 LEO satellite at 2000km range. The antenna is a 435 MHz prototype of a four arm "N4IP Pannenkoeken" QFHA antenna. The four arms are etched on a 150mm circular PCB. The ground plane can be smaller. AMSAT-DL AMSAT AMSAT-UK Icom America Inc icom_uk

Hard to believe but the analysis of the X2.8 solar flare has been done that was quick. The solar flare did have an associated CME, that is Earth directed arrival on the 17th. #CME #SpaceWeather

Earlier today, the Sun popped off the largest #SolarFlare since September 2017. It’s certainly been a while since we’ve seen saturation like this in the SDO/AIA data. Unfortunately, this instrument wasn’t designed for large flares like this! #spaceweather
