BREAKING NEWS! In het verleden werd gedacht dat een verhoogd niveau van het hCG hormoon de boosdoener was in het veroorzaken van HG. Marlena S. Fejzo heeft in haar onderzoek een link gevonden tussen het stofje GDF15 en zwangerschapsmisselijkheid en HG. #ICHG2019 #ZEHG #HGResearch

GDF15 komt vrij wanneer de placenta vormt en zorgt ervoor dat het misselijkheids- & braakcentrum van de hersenen geactiveerd worden. Vrouwen die werden opgenomen door HG of medicatie gebruikten voor HG in het tweede semester, was het level van GDF15, niet hCG, torenhoog #ICHG2019
