Hon'ble Union Fisheries Minister Shri. Rajiv Ranjan Singh launched VyAS-NAV, a digital application developed by CMFRI -Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute for the upcoming 5th MFC 2025. The event also featured a technical session on Model Mariculture SOPs, moderated by CMFRI Director Dr Grinson George.

VyAS-NAV app will be used by supervisors for field verification of fishing villages, fish landing centres, and fishing harbours. This is a foundational step to ensure comprehensive coverage and accuracy of the census frame.
