So Alexis Richardson asked me "um ok but what does it do?" which I realised was quite a good question I answered: Build GPTs (helix "apps") locally with open source models, including knowledge (RAG), API integrations and agents producthunt.com/posts/helix-1-0

I'm so much better at writing boilerplate code with AI. We need to move to getting paid per line of code, and then I'd be killing it.

Why do I feel like Anthropic is like the Rust of AI. Every developer says it's their favorite AI while professionally they are still using OpenAI.

It's so annoying how opaque OpenAI is. I just want technical details of how it works, not stupid anthropomorphized explanations. Matrices didn't think, just tell me how you arranged the numbers.

The trick with AI automation is how do you do it without just falling back to traditional workflows, and no net new value. Or handing everything to AI and lose control and visibility.

I still think we have nowhere near pushed gpt4o to it's max. The problem is not the smarts of the model but our ability to use it effectively.
