The U17s lost 4-2 to Airdrie this morning. Like the 19s on Friday, there were plenty of young trialists involved so I'm not reading anything into the result. Scorers Alfie Cairns & Elias Murphy.

To all the smart-alecs who asked me tonight if I was going to sunbathe, as I did at Brechin on Saturday, this picture shows why my answer was no. And why it's not a good idea to leave the waterproof jacket at home in Scotland. Sorry Rube. 🤣

First game back last night for the girls. It was a loss, as most friendlies likely will be as all are against teams from leagues above us. So let’s focus on the positives. Three U18s making their debuts for the seniors. Well done Fern Callandar, Eilish McFarlane & Eilidh Smith👏

Sunday workout for the girls in a bounce game against Spartans. Two more U18 debuts from Kiera Blackhall & Ava Carberry. Gemma Mason dons the captains armband for the first time, as does Erin Sludden who takes over when Gemma goes off. Plaudits to all. 👏

Training this afternoon. Preseason means lots of running, but there was a bit of ball work involved too. Good to see another two of the U18s taking part in Hannah Curry and Sophie Hunter.

5-0 win tonight for the girls in a friendly over Alloa. Scorers Hannah Davie (2), someone who put a header in that I missed 🙈, trialist & Mhari Smith.

Also good to see a lot of old pals who’re now at Alloa. Apologies for only being able to fit 4 images onto a twitter post so I miss a few out. Picture of Suzanne MacTaggart included because I know she’ll hate it. 😝😝🤣 Hope you’re OK Jill Leiper. You were in the wars tonight. 🚑

Decent result for the girls to round off preseason yesterday, with a draw away to an SWPL side. Falkirk goalscorers Mhari Smith, Bryony Ross and Olivia Murphy. The league campaign begins on Sunday at home to Morton.

0-0 for the U19s in Almondvale tonight. Boys defended superbly against a side which contained four players who were signed to play for the Livvy first team. (you're allowed 5 overage players in a 19s game). Falkirk stuck with the youngsters who rose to the challenge.

The girls open their League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Morton, avenging a 4-3 loss when the Greenock side visited the stadium last year. Scorers Bryony Ross and Olivia Murphy.

Inverness 1 Falkirk 3. Scorers Anna Dickov with 2 & Erin Snell. Pics are the 3 goals. As good a Falkirk performance as I've seen up here so well done to the girls. They open the season with 6 points out of 6.
