We learnt about the Christian creation story and talked about how believing it would affect your view of God. These are three great bits of work from my Year 5s, showing God as powerful and creative. #TeamRE

What a fantastic read! A really honest and heartfelt story, and from an RE perspective a fascinating insight into the London-based Bengali culture. Begum rises from normality (rather than obscurity) to fulfil her dreams, which makes for a much more relatable book. #TeamRE

Speakers and seminars have been announced for #StrictlyRE 2026. I'm in there doing a seminar on Oracy in Primary RE. I feel honoured and terrified in equal measure! #TeamRE

So far my class this year are a bit flat. There's a few that love to contribute and will dominate, but the majority aren't really getting stuck in yet. Today, I gave them a video from these guys The Philosophy Man and straight away nearly everyone had something to say. Brilliant!

I'm selling two tickets for the Royal Air Force band at Newark Palace theatre on Friday 19th September at 7.30pm. I paid £23 each, but I'm willing to listen to offers. Anyone interested?

I've been lucky enough to come across Prof Jasjit Singh a few times now, and he is great to listen to. This was a fascinating presentation of his report of Sikhi in schools. I will be definitely looking at bringing in more Sikhi when we have our new syllabus next year.

I've somehow ended up on the steering group for RExChange 2026! It was great to meet for the first time today. Start buttering up your nearest and dearest (and your boss) now, people. It's going to be great!

We were really pleased with the interest in our subject shown by all those we spoke to at the Labour Party Conference. We now eagerly await the publication of the curriculum and assessment review to see what the future holds for RE

Are you heading to Strictly RE in January. If you are, you'll get to see cool people like Charlotte here and slightly less cool people, like me. But everyone you meet will be incredibly passionate about RE, and you'll come away with great ideas and renewed excitement! #TeamRE

Following a recommendation from the godfather of RE, Lat Blaylock, I have just finished this. It is full of beauty, hope and wisdom, and from an RE perspective, there are lots of explanations of aspects of Judaism that are very useful. Hugo's story of survival is incredible!

This is a really interesting blog, highlighting the value of exposing pupils to real people and giving them the opportunity to interact with them.
