On #BlackWomensEqualPayDay I think of my mom.
My mom raised me and my sisters after my dad died when I was 3. She struggled and worked multiple jobs to support our family. And she didn’t get her first job that gave her benefits until I was 14.
My mom's story isn’t unique.
