Anthony Walker was a Black British student of Jamaican descent who was murdered with an ice axe by Michael Barton, brother of Joey Barton, in an unprovoked racist attack. Joey Barton needs to close his beak and sit this one out…

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but trainee teachers should not be making PowerPoints from scratch - just because you had to when you were a trainee. Schools (hopefully!) have a come a long way since then and this is an easy way to retain teachers. #edutwitter

I’ve just signed this letter to Keir Starmer, telling him that a future free from homelessness starts now. Join me and Crisis to urge the government to build more social homes, fix our support systems and prevent homelessness before it starts. campaigns.crisis.org.uk/page/166635/pe…

Back in 2021, some of us got copies of the Southern report into the hisorical roots of the #WindrushScandal, which found that UK legislation of the 1960s & 1970s was aimed at reducing the immigration of people who did not have a white skin - Legal action caused the report to be

£22,000 of public money was spent by the previous Tory govt on lawyers to block a report which exposed that the roots of the Windrush scandal lay in racist immigration legislation designed to reduce the UK’s non-white population. Disgraceful. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/a…

Wishing everyone who are celebrating #Easter this weekend a peaceful and lovely time. This iconic artwork of Jesus was done by Vincent Barzoni - who was born and brought up in New York. I remember growing up and seeing this in so many homes. Representation matters! 🙏🏾❤️✝️

#VEDay80 don't forget 15,000 West Indians who served in WW2. One of my mentors was the late Eddie Martin Noble 1917 2017. I made a film in 2008 called A Charmed Life about his life. The film inspired me to start the campaign for a national Windrush Day.

I don’t speak of this often. My dad was an immigrant. From the moment he arrived in this country he worked hard every day in labouring jobs. My most vivid memory is of his tired and weary eyes and oil stained overalls after a 12 hour factory shift. Even then he managed a smile.

Solidarity with Mr Knight & Mr Williams. Knowing what we know, I hope plans are put in place to support and fully compensate both of these elders on their return to the UK. Continue the fight. Continue to speak the truth. Solidarity with all wronged by the #Windrush scandal.

Arjun Patoliya had travelled from his home in Harrow to scatter the ashes of his late wife Bharti in Gujarat to fulfill her final wish. He died in the Air India plane crash 18 days after his wife leaving his two daughters aged four and eight orphaned. Oh my. My heart is heavy 💔
